Marketing Manager (Acquisitions)

Who are we?

Giacom is an industry leading Cloud Services Provider to IT Consultants that service that SME’s in the UK. The business has developed the Giacom Cloud Marketplace where ITC’s purchase, provision and manage the software requirements of their clients on an "easy on, easy off" consumption model basis. Giacom is an accredited Microsoft Tier 2 Cloud Service Provider and route to market for an increasing range of software vendors.

Our ambition:

We have very ambitious growth plans – and we know we can do it. We have doubled in size in each of the last 2 financial years and have recently achieved additional investment to sustain this growth momentum. However, we need highly talented, motivated people to help us achieve this ambition. We have highly knowledgeable and skilled staff, totalling 60 at present, and we are looking to almost double our team over the next 5 years. We aim to attract, develop and retain our people by providing a career path and solid future. To ensure we continue to grow we will live by our values and make sure our customers and people remain at the heart of our business.

The role:

Reporting to the CMO, the Marketing Manager will drive increased customer acquisition and conversion. This role will focus on, but is not limited to:

Here's just some of the 'stuff' you might be working on:

  • Management of a significant marketing budget to deliver market leading ROI
  • Create & oversee lead generation & consumer acquisition strategy
  • Develop & deliver targeted campaigns across all marketing channels, online & offline
  • Manage external agency performance, including digital and PR
  • Manage the lead generation team to drive consumer engagement & sales
  • Monitor and report performance of campaigns
  • Manage customer events (both online and in person)
  • Manage exhibitions to increase brand awareness and customer acquisition
  • Manage change throughout the business to ensure lead generation is a priority
  • Develop and deliver customer led campaigns in line with market trends and requirements
  • Forecast and create marketing budgets & targets
  • Day to day ownership of digital marketing strategy and tactics
  • Development and delivery of ROI reporting and tracking - actions v outcomes

The Person:

Key attributes are below, each with a proven track record:

  • Accuracy – you will have an eye for detail and provide thorough and accurate information
  • Creativity – you will be good at generating ideas and approaches to increase customer uptake
  • Experience – you will have a good understanding of Marketing and in particular digital marketing theory and techniques, be professional and confident with good written and verbal skills
  • Detail focused – you will be detail focussed, with good reporting and writing skills and ability to recognise trends and make recommendations for change accordingly
  • Organised – all marketing activities must be thorough and organised so they can be shared and reported as required
  • Results orientated – you will have a passion for delivering campaigns that deliver a strong return and show a desire for continuous improvement
  • Team Player – you will be happy to integrate into a small team and will be adept at building great relationships with your peers and other stakeholders

Essential Skills:

  • Marketing experience in leading virtual teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Ability to prepare engaging content and presentations
  • Ability to plan, contribute to and execute campaigns – demonstrating recent examples of successful delivery of digital marketing campaigns and how it was measured
  • An understanding of the target market and customers would be useful, but not essential

Reporting to your teams Senior Developer, we want you to deliver, maintain and enhance the Giacoms' Cloud.Market platform and the systems which support this. You will be working in 2 week sprints with a varied backlog so you'll never be bored!!

  • Producing quality software in line with our high standards
  • Working with other teams in the business to make sure expectations are met
  • Supporting and guiding the Techncial Support team and dealing with incidents in a super efficient manner

So, what essential things do we need you to have?

  • A relevant technical degree
  • C# - with a minimum 2 years commercial experience
  • Web technologies – JavaScript / Angular 4, .NET
  • MySql and Powershell
  • Source Code Control and Version Control (GIT)

This is a pivotal role and we love our Business Development Managers to be passionate about not only increasing revenue and profitability but also about providing amazing service to our vendors whilst seeing their product launches through from concept to implementation. We’re looking for someone who can analyse information without hesitation and develop meaningful concepts for our online market place.

The ideal candidate must be super creative with amazing analytical skills to build a detailed understanding of our wider cloud market place and identify opportunities for new vendors, products and services.

  • Keeping an eye on our competitors and monitoring trends
  • Proposition development - champion new products and gaining buy in from stakeholders. Using your skills to build a value proposition, business case and working across the business to design the customer experience, market place integration requirements and exciting sales and marketing messages
  • In life vendor and roadmap management – working closely with our vendors to design roadmaps of new features and enhancements, ensuring continuous improvement of the user experience. Reviewing financials and analysing market pricing, ensuring opportunities for maximising sales and bundling are never missed
