Product Manager - £35,000 to £60,000 DOE

The Role:

We are looking to recruit an experienced Product Manager to drive growth in Giacom's product set. Reporting to the Product & Services Director, you will be responsible for increasing our revenue across our product portfolio, interfacing with our vendors and in house teams to ensure successful product launches from the concept stage right through to implementation. Your role will have a remit across our existing and emerging products sets.

This role will focus on but not limited to:

  • Research into changing markets, competition and other products
  • Creation of business cases to support product investments
  • On-boarding new vendors and facilitating efficient product introductions
  • Managing product life cycles, in line with overarching strategic roadmap
  • Support Marketing and other Go To Market activities

The Person:

You will have a number of key attributes, each with a proven track record:

  • Commercially astute - you'll be a skilful negotiator ensuring the best possible business terms
  • Relationship builder - have strong relationship building skills with ability to interact with key stakeholders across vendors and internally
  • Detail orientated – you will be organised, have an eye for detail, able to draft business requirements to ensure smooth integrations with Giacom’s Cloud Market
  • Technical awareness - you will have high technical awareness, able to turn functional specifications into product deliverables to match business goals.
  • Team Player – you will be happy to integrate into a small team and will be adept at building great relationships with your peers and other Stakeholders.

Essential Skills:

You should have strong experience of working within the technology sector, preferably in a B2B or channel environment. Have strong communciation skills and and excellent Microsoft Offices skills. A deep understanding of the IT industry, key vendors and technology solutions is desirable.

Technical Support Advisor - £16,000 - £17,500 DOE

The Role:

Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role will predominantly revolve around providing 1st line technical support to our resellers. This role has five key aspects:

  • Take support calls over the phone, accurately recording problem details and providing first-line resolution
  • Analyse and take ownership of incoming support tickets, communicating with the reseller and working towards a resolution
  • Where necessary escalate to 2nd line support, providing accurate and detailed description of the problem, diagnostic steps already carried out, etc.
  • Ensure that problems are resolved within stated Service Level Agreement targets
  • Participate in continuous service improvement activities, assisting with root cause analysis

The Person:

You will have a number of key attributes, each with a proven track record:

  • Technical ability - you will have demonstrable technical skills in the area of email, networking, internet and related technologies
  • Methodical - you will have an eye for detail and have a methodical approach to troubleshooting and problem analysis
  • Customer focused – you will have previous experience of 1st time customer support and a strong ethos of going the extra mile to help resellers get the most from our services
  • Team Player - you will be happy to integrate into a small team and will be adept at building great relationships with your peers and other members of other departments
  • Continuous learning – you will be prepared to undertake external training to enhance your skills. Giacom will fund all training costs but you must be prepared to make a commitment of your own time

Essential Skills:

A strong understanding of email technologies is essential as hosted mail is our core business. Deep understanding of Outlook configuration, SMTP settings and related DNS records is a must. Understanding of operating systems (primarily Windows) and core networking principles will give a good foundation for this role. We will train you in the support of all of our hosted services.

We have grown substantially over the past few years and have achieved this growth by developing our Cloud Market and adding new products.
