Hosted Services Engineer

The Role:

Reporting to the Hosted Services Manager, this role will predominantly revolve around providing 2nd/3rd line technical support to our customers and project work to innovate our hosted offerings. This role has five key aspects:

  • Providing technical support for escalated issues and tickets.
  • Undertake cross and inter departmental projects of a highly specialised and technical nature.
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting issues with the underlying infrastructure.
  • Collaborating with internal and supplier teams to triage and resolve issue.
  • Build and maintain support documentation.

The Person:

You will have a number of key attributes, each with a proven track record:

  • Technical ability - you will be experienced in supporting Microsoft Server based products and have a Microsoft MCSE qualification.
  • Methodical - you will have an eye for detail and have a methodical approach to troubleshooting and problem analysis.
  • Customer focused – you will have previous experience of customer support and a strong ethos of going the extra mile to help resellers get the most from our services.
  • Team Player - you will be happy to integrate into a small team and will be adept at building great relationships with your peers and members of other departments.
  • Continuous learning – you will be prepared to undertake external training to enhance your skills. Giacom will fund all training costs but you must be prepared to make a commitment of your own time.

Essential Skills:

  • Excellent Exchange 2010/2013/2016 knowledge.
  • Solid knowledge of anti-spam email technologies.
  • Good understanding of database technologies (MySQL preffered).
  • Experience of scripting/automation languages such as PowerShell.
  • Familiarity with Linux is a must.
  • Sound knowledge of networking.
  • High-level understanding of all Microsoft technologies is also desirable.

Senior Software Developer

The Role:

Reporting to the Head of Software Development, the position of Software Developer is deliver, maintain and enhance the Giacoms’ Cloud.Market platform and the systems which support this. You will be working within a Scrum Team in 2 week Sprints with a varied backlog where no 2 sprints are the same. You will take ownership of one or more elements of the system and be the go to person for this.

This role will focus on but not limited to:

  • Produce software to the in-house standards to ensure software quality.
  • Work alongside other internal teams to ensure that the software meets the requirements expected.
  • Provide support and guidance to the Techncial Support team and deal with incidents when needed.

You will have a number of key attributes, each with a proven track record:

  • Technical - you will have a passion for technology and promote innovation.
  • Organised - Be able to forecast, work to and deliver upon targets to ensure the Sprint Goals are acheived.
  • Process focused – you will have previous experience of 1st time customer support and a strong ethos of going the extra mile to help resellers get the most from our services.
  • Team Player - you will be a process focused person, happy to work methodically within procedure and process guidelines and provide improvement suggestions where appropriate.
  • Team Player – you will be happy to integrate into a small team and will be adept at building great relationships with your peers.

Essential Skills:

  • C# - with a minmum 5 years commercial experience with 2+ years in a senior role.
  • Unit Testing.
  • Web technologies – JavaScript / Angular 4, .NET.
  • MySql and Powershell.
  • Source Code Control and Version Control (GIT).
  • Worked as part of a scrum team.

Software Test Analyst

The Role:

Reporting to the Head of Software Development, the position of Software Test Analyst is to be an active member of the Development Team keep the Developers in check and honest. You will be working within a Scrum Team in 2 week Sprints with a varied backlog where no 2 sprints are the same.

This role will focus on but not limited to:

  • Product acceptance test criteria for individual requirements and for the systems.
  • Testing the development team’s output is produced to the in-house standards to ensure software quality.
  • Maintain the Regression Testing suite in line with product enhancements.
  • Produce and maintain an automation suite.
  • Work alongside other internal teams to ensure that the software meets the requirements expected.
  • Provide support and guidance to the Techncial Support team and deal with incidents when needed.

2nd Line Technical Support Analyst

The Role:

Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role will predominantly revolve around providing 2nd line technical support to our customers. This role has five key aspects:

  • Supporting Microsoft cloud based products particularly Office 365 and its various elements.
  • Diagnosing and trouble shooting Azure and Dynamics using Powershell.
  • Working across internal and supplier teams to triage and resolve support incidents, and escalating to and working with Microsoft and other vendors to bring issues to resolution.
  • Ensure that problems are resolved within stated Service Level Agreement targets.
  • Participate in continuous service improvement activities, assisting with root cause analysis.

The Person:

You will have a number of key attributes, each with a proven track record:

  • Technical ability - you will be experienced in supporting Microsoft cloud based products and be at a minimum Microsoft MSCA Office 365 or above certified.
  • Methodical - you will have an eye for detail and have a methodical approach to troubleshooting and problem analysis.

Content Marketing Manager

The Role:

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, the Marketing Manager will be responsible for the development and execution of content marketing and contribute to the overall marketing mix. This role will focus on, but is not limited to:

  • Lead content development for campaigns.
  • Leverage market data to develop content themes/topics.
  • Collaborate across functions to deliver an effective content marketing strategy and editorial plan.
  • Project manage editorial schedules and deadlines.
  • Keep up to date with industry best practice and content activities.
  • Conduct periodic competitive audits.
  • Identify up-sell and cross-sell opportunities through content analysis.
  • Lead virtual project teams that include company employees, contractors and agencies.

Business Analyst (Software)

The Role:

Reporting to the Head of Software Development, the position of Business Analyst is to be an active member of the Development Team translating the needs of the business into a words the Developers and Testers understand. You will be working within a Scrum Team in 2 week Sprints with a varied backlog where no 2 sprints are the same.

This role will focus on but not limited to:

  • Translate the business requirements so that Developers can develop against and the Testers can test against.
  • Facilitate User Story grooming such that User Stories are ready for the sprint backlog.
  • Present the requirements to the wider development team in the Sprint Planning meeting.
  • Be the Technical inputter and acceptor of the Business Requirements process.
  • Work closely with the Product team and other internal teams to ensure that requirements are captured and provide guidance to how they can help you help the Development Team output meet those expectations.

Product Manager

The Role:

We are looking to recruit an experienced Product Manager to drive growth and diversification in our portfolio. Reporting to the Head Of Product Management, you will be responsible for increasing our revenue and profitability, interfacing with our vendors and in-house teams to ensure successful product launches from the concept stage right through to implementation.

The role will have a broad remit across our existing and emerging product sets and amongst the key responsibilities will be:

Market Analysis

  • Using primary and secondary research along with management information to build a detailed understanding of the wider Cloud Services market.
  • Identify opportunities for the business to bring to market new products and services.
  • Monitor macro trends and competitor activity.

Proposition Development

  • Creating new product/proposition ideas and prototypes.
  • Managing business stakeholders and gaining buy in.
  • Evaluating potential vendors.
  • Developing the business case.
  • Designing the optimal customer experience.
  • Working with our Software Development team on building requirements.
  • Working with our Sales & Marketing team on message development & launch plans.

In Life Vendor & Roadmap Management

  • Building with our vendors an ongoing roadmap of new features & enhancements.
  • Working with these vendors to continuously improve the user experience by managing service level agreements.
  • Reviewing financial performance of the portfolio and taking necessary steps to deliver as per the business case.
  • Working with our Technical Support teams to ensure that our Knowledge Base of customer solutions is constantly refreshed.
  • Analysing market pricing and developing opportunities for bundling complementary products and services.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate their experience of some or all of these skills and attributes:

  • Proposition development - you'll have worked on all aspects of developing propositions from idea to launch.
