Cloudbolt to Flexera FAQs

As part of our ongoing commitment to improving our Cloud Cost Management Services, we’re switching from Cloudbolt to Flexera.

Flexera provides a scalable, enterprise-grade solution that supports partners in monitoring Azure spend, identifying optimisation opportunities and delivering greater value to customers.

1. When is this happening?

Phased transitions to Flexera will take place from 1st September 2026. CloudBolt will be retired on 30th September 2026.

2.What will happen during the onboarding process and what do I need to do?

Step 1: You’ll need to accept the updated Azure SSTs when prompted in Giacom Cloud Market.

Step 2: We’ll request email addresses for your team members needing access Flexera. Access will be provided via an email access link. We advise bookmarking this link and keeping login details safe.

Step 3: Our Azure Practice will reach out and arrange a meeting to introduce you to the new Cloud Cost Management Portal.

3. Is there any support I can access to help?

Yes, our Azure Practice Team will be delivering enablement sessions throughout September. This gives you the chance to ask any questions, get familiar with Flexera and ensure a smooth transition to the new platform.

Please reach out to your Account Manager for details.

4. Will this change effect how I manage Azure for my customers?

The underlying objectives remain the same: helping partners monitor spend, identify optimisation opportunities and deliver value to their customers. The platform used to access these capabilities will change, but we will provide guidance and support throughout the transition.

5. Will there be any downtime?

No, we do not anticipate any downtime with this transition.

6. What are the benefits of Flexera?

Flexera offers:

  • A streamlined onboarding experience
  • An intuitive and user-friendly platform
  • Flexible reporting and dashboard capabilities
  • Visibility of your Reservations and Azure Savings Plans
  • Multi-customer management through a single portal
  • Role-based access controls for different user types
  • Ongoing support and enablement from us

7. Is this change mandatory for existing CloudBolt partners?

Yes. CloudBolt is being retired from our portfolio and partners wishing to continue using our cloud cost optimisation service will need to transition to Flexera.

If you choose not to onboard with Flexera, you’ll be unable to access Cloud Cost Optimisation Services, causing disruption for your customers.

8.Can I continue using CloudBolt during the transition period?

Yes, CloudBolt remains available until 30th September 2026.

9. What happens to my historical CloudBolt data?

We have requested purging of all historical data ingested through CloudBolt, including backups and user/login details.
We recommend exporting any historical cost and optimisation data you would like to retain.

Please note, you will be unable to access any historical reports from 30th September 2026.

10. Can end customers access the platform directly?

Flexera has a comprehensive knowledgebase. You can access articles relevant to the page you are on within Flexera by clicking the question mark at the top right of the page or explore the link below.
