1. What is Microsoft 365 Copilot Business?
Microsoft 365 Copilot Business is an AI-powered assistant built into the Microsoft 365 apps your customers already use—Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams. It helps users write documents and emails in minutes, summarise meetings, create action plans, and analyse data—freeing up time for the work that matters most. Copilot Business delivers the same premium features as the enterprise version, but at SMB-friendly pricing.
2. When is Microsoft 365 Copilot Business available?
Microsoft 365 Copilot Business will be available to purchase in Cloud Market on 1st December 2025.
3. Who can buy Copilot Business?
Copilot Business is available to organisations with up to 300 users and can be added to any Microsoft 365 Business plan (Basic, Standard, or Premium). It’s designed for small and medium-sized businesses looking to unlock AI productivity without the complexity or cost of enterprise licensing.
4. If a tenant has both Business and Enterprise suites, can they choose between Copilot Business and Microsoft 365 Copilot?
Business users may attach either Microsoft 365 Copilot Business or Microsoft 365 Copilot; Enterprise users attach Microsoft 365 Copilot only.
5. What are my options for adding Copilot Business?
Microsoft are offering two flexible options:
Option 1: Standalone Copilot for Business licence
Add Copilot Business to your customer’s existing Microsoft 365 Business plan. Perfect for quick upsells and customers who already have their licences in place.
Option 2: Bundle it with your Microsoft licence
Choose a bundle that combines Microsoft 365 Business and Copilot in one licence. One transaction, one renewal date—less hassle for you and your customers.
6. What’s the pricing and are there any promotions?
From 1st December 2025 to 31st March 2026, you can offer:
- 15% off Copilot Business standalone
- 35% off Business Standard + Copilot bundle
- 25% off Business Premium + Copilot bundle
These discounts help you deliver serious value to your customers and lock in long-term relationships. UK/EURO pricing will be confirmed at launch.
7. What about mid-term upgrades and options?
If a customer already has the $30 Microsoft 365 Copilot, they can’t switch to Copilot Business mid-term; they must fulfil the current annual commitment but can purchase additional Copilot Business licenses at any time.
If a customer has existing Microsoft 365 Business licences, mid-term upgrades to the bundles are allowed starting 17th December 2025. The commitment term may restart at the time of upsell.

10. Is Copilot Business secure?
Absolutely. Copilot Business respects all existing security, privacy, and data boundaries—just like the enterprise version. Your customers’ sensitive information stays protected, and AI adoption is safe and compliant.
11. Will SMB customers with the regular $30 Copilot be able to set a scheduled upgrade at renewal to Microsoft 365 Copilot Business – or will they be forced to add/remove as it is a lower priced SKU?
At the time of renewal, the existing $30 Copilot SKU must be canceled, and the new Microsoft 365 Copilot business SKU can be purchased.
