CityFibre expands FTTP network to serve residential market
CityFibre is helping partners to serve more customers across the UK with their new residential footprint, unlocking the full potential of their fibre network and increasing availability from 125,000 premises to 4.5 million.
CityFibre Business FTTP is designed to meet the needs of small businesses, SoHos and home workers with symmetrical speeds of up to 1Gbps, perfect for keeping users connected and supporting IP voice, cloud-based applications and video streaming services.
When utilised for residential premises, the service will still benefit from business-grade SLAs, offering rapid fix times to ensure any interruption is quickly resolved.
As the UK’s largest independent full fibre network, CityFibre serves many areas that are currently underserved by Openreach, enabling Giacom partners to win more business in these areas and prepare more customers for the PSTN Switch Off ahead of January 2027.
Nathan Marke, Chief Strategy Officer at Giacom, said:
“UK businesses, both large and small, increasingly rely on technology to operate, so reliable, Multi-Gig broadband is key. CityFibre has listened to the market and is making the most of its next generation network to bring greater choice and exceptional products and services to even more businesses across the UK.
Enabling access to the residential as well as business postcodes served by CityFibre’s network, through Giacom’s Cloud Market platform, is great news for our community of 6000 MSPs and expert technology resellers, and means even more SMBs can benefit from high speed, reliable, secure, great value connectivity.”
