Each product line was managed through a separate billing system, resulting in customers receiving multiple invoices instead of a single, consolidated bill.

The lack of centralised data not only impacted the customer experience but also created significant barriers to effective reporting, cross-selling, and upselling. With customer information siloed across systems, identifying opportunities for growth within existing accounts became a manual and inefficient process. Additionally, reconciling supplier costs against customer charges was time-consuming and often deprioritised due to resource constraints.

Recognising the need for a more streamlined and scalable approach, KVD Group sought a strategic partner to help reimagine their operations. They turned to Giacom for expert guidance in simplifying their systems, improving operational efficiency, and laying the foundation for sustainable growth.

Led by their dedicated Account Manager, Sam Smith, Giacom invested time in deeply understanding KVD Group’s business, people, and processes.

Giacom first tackled the fragmented billing systems and successfully migrated all of KVD Group’s billing into a single platform, Abillity. This enabled the generation of consolidated customer invoices that clearly present all products and services in one place. This significantly improved the customer experience and provided KVD Group with a unified view of each customer’s account.

To further support operational efficiency, Giacom introduced its Managed Service, Assist, providing Bureau billing support that alleviated the day-to-day administrative burden on KVD Group’s internal team. This close partnership has evolved into a seamless extension of KVD Group’s operations, with the Bureau team offering ongoing support, advice, and hands-on assistance whenever needed.

Automation and reconciliation were also introduced into the billing process, enabling faster, more accurate invoicing and improving cash flow. The implementation of a monthly reconciliation process uncovered missed revenue opportunities, which were quickly corrected and billed, delivering immediate financial benefits.
